Behind the Scenes: A Makarska Wedding Shoot

Every wedding starts long before the ceremony. I usually arrive at the venue two hours early to scout light and find the quiet corners that will matter later in the day.

The Makarska Riviera gives incredible golden-hour light in late spring, and this shoot was no exception. We used the coastline as a natural backdrop for the couple portraits, timing everything around sunset.

My approach stays documentary-first: I look for honest moments rather than staged ones, and only step in to direct when it genuinely helps the shot.
